Exploring Your Core Surrogacy with Egg Donation Journey
Embarking on a surrogacy journey with egg donation is a significant and sometimes necessary step for many intended parents. This option becomes crucial when natural conception or IVF with your own eggs is not viable due to various factors. It can also be considered when previous IVF attempts, either with your own eggs or with donor eggs, have been unsuccessful.
When to Consider Surrogacy with Egg Donation:
- Ovarian Factors: Diminished ovarian reserve, premature ovarian failure, or age-related decline in egg quality.
- Genetic Concerns: Risk of passing on genetic disorders that can be mitigated by using donor eggs.
- Medical Conditions: Conditions like PCOS or endometriosis that complicate egg production.
- Repeated IVF Failures: Previous unsuccessful IVF cycles with your own or donor eggs.
Starting the Process:
According to Georgian regulations, the intended mother is not required to provide medical proof of the need for surrogacy or egg donation, simplifying the start of the journey. The only necessary medical checkup is for the intended father, which includes:
- HIV (term of validity 3 months)
- Syphilis / RPR (term of validity 3 months)
- Hepatitis B (HbsAg) (term of validity 3 months)
- Hepatitis C (HCV) (term of validity 3 months)
- Blood group and Rh; ( lifetime validity)
- Complete sperm analyses giving values for Sperm volume, sperm motility, sperm count, sperm morphology, sperm concentration. ( term of validity 6 months)
Simultaneously, intended parents have the opportunity to explore our extensive egg donor database. We support you throughout the selection process, providing comprehensive donor profiles that include detailed information about the donor’s background, interests, and health history. This ensures you can make an informed decision while we maintain and respect the donor’s privacy.
Once the medical checks are approved and an egg donor is selected, we move forward with signing the necessary agreements. This step ensures that all documentation and preparatory elements are in place, providing a solid foundation before proceeding with the next stages of your journey.
As part of the first visit, we require both intended parents to stay for a four-day period. This visit is crucial for performing sperm collection to ensure we have an adequate number of samples for IVF. The extended stay allows for multiple collection attempts if necessary, ensuring we obtain at least 3-4 vials of sperm for successful fertilization.
