At our facility, we ensure every surrogate mother undergoes a comprehensive medical checkup throughout the pregnancy. This meticulous approach is designed to monitor her health and the baby’s development, aiming for a smooth and successful journey. Despite our diligent care protocols, some situations may arise that necessitate hospitalization to ensure the safety and well-being of both the surrogate and the baby. We promptly intervene, ensuring hospitalization and stabilization of conditions before discharge. Here are some reasons for hospitalization:
- Bleeding from the uterine cavity
- Uterine hematoma
- Uterine tension
- Preeclampsia (high blood pressure and proteinuria)
- Early cervical dilation leading to preterm labor
- Thyroid conditions during pregnancy
- Placenta previa
- Maternal distress
- Acute complications such as pneumonia, appendicitis, cholestasis, cholecystitis, and pyelonephritis
- Other issues like microhydramnios, premature amniotic fluid leakage, polyhydramnios, and gestational diabetes
- Conditions affecting fetal growth and development, potentially leading to growth retardation
